Since the passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in 2015, advocating for adequate federal funding for Title II, which supports professional development for school leaders as well as teachers, has been the leading issue for NASSP and other national and state organizations that represent principals. Despite the proven impact of professional development for educators on student achievement, many lawmakers still question the effectiveness of Title II funding. This webinar will cover how to navigate where Title II dollars are spent in school districts, other funding sources for professional development, advocacy strategies for principals and educators to use when speaking with federal lawmakers about the program, and best practices for telling your real-life Title II success stories.
